Tracey Duncan, Golden West College Wins Student Design Competition

The twelfth annual CSFA student design competition was held on Sunday morning with Debbie Alvarez AIFD, CCF, Camarillo ROP & Floral Phenomenon as Commentator. The student competition was sponsored by CalFlowers (California Association of Flower Growers & Shippers).
The winner of the 2016 student design competition is Tracey Duncan, Golden West College. Tracey also received the People’s Choice Award! This year’s 2nd place winner is Weronika Lovett, Mission College; third place winner was a tie between Kelsey Russell, Cal Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and Jose Rosales, Long Beach City College.
The following students were among the top ten finalists: Karla Avalos, Modesto Jr. College Floral Design; Ines Alvizar, Mission College; and Isabel Sarellano, Mission College tied for sixth place, Allana Childs, Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo; Lucia Fuentes, Hamilton High School and Connie Amezcua Olivo, Mission College.
Twenty-one students representing Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, Golden West College, Hamilton High School, Long Beach City College, Mission College and Modesto Jr. College Floral Design competed in this year’s student design competition!
